I’m not Lost I Found It

For some reason I don’t start watching a show till popular or two off the air. Either way I think the reason might be one that I don’t want to get involved in a show that they will cancel and piss me off in the end or I am just lazy. Although I did start watching Arrested Development from the start but I had a feeling about that one and it almost got canceled so they you go. I think the last ABC show I watched was Happy Days, no wait Max Headroom and Moonlighting might have been the last now that I think about it. I wanted to start watching Lost the moment I read about it. I have always had a thing for the stuck on an Island stuff. I saw Man Friday with Richard Roundtree (yes That bad mother fucker Shaft) and Peter O’toole (Lawrence of Arabia) It a Robinson Crusoe story but I liked it as a kid. For the Record I didn’t like Castaway. Everyone tells me I’m nuts but I just didn’t enjoy it. Maybe its because he made it off the Island. I think there are two types of people when it comes to being stuck on an Island. 1. the ones that want off the Island and 2. the ones that don’t. I tend to be the kind of person that would want to stay. I mean I wouldn’t want to stave or dehydrate to death but I would love to have the time to create everything from scratch. Of course I wouldn’t want to be alone either. I guess it might be a sin that I never read or watched Lord of the Flies. I just think The Outsiders was such a good coming of age/adolescence book/movie that I didn’t need to read Lord of the Flies. Mosquito Coast is another good movie I really became a River Phoenix fan at this point. Back to the focus here. I caught the beginning of last night’s episode of Lost. It had the plane crashing and I thought wow the just started to rerun the season and I can watch it from the start. Wrong they were having the “recap” episode. Sort of like the episodes where a show shows clips from the past seasons in some “reflecting” plot that is lame and some times the sign of the downslide of a show. Now it is popular to have an episode where they play catch up for all the people that hear all the talk at the water cooler and want to start watching, but feel left out due to starting up in the middle. That’s What I go sucked into. I stopped watching so I would spoil the surprise when I watched hem from start to finish. I looked on amazon.com for a release date on the DVD’s of Lost and it’s in September. I can’t wait that long. In the old days you had to schedule you life around a TVguide and hope that they play all the reruns. Now you can buy DVDs of complete seasons. I can’t wait that long. I hit IRC chat rooms and found a fast server serving them and have episode 1-9. That’s half of them. I can’t wait to watch them all. As far as drama its one of the best shows in a while that I’ve watched on “network” TV. I downloaded Trailer Park Boys, 6 Feet Under, Carnival, and a few others but the are all cable. If you haven’t watch Lost yet wait till September and rent it on DVD. Oh yeah I have watched 24 and I think it sucks ass. I also could have used paragraphs on this post but I never was much on editing and writing drafts sorry for the eye strain

Sorry for Missing Pictures on this Blog

I had to put a stop to hotlinking on my adult server. People were using my pic on other sites and costing me big $$$. I forgot that I hosted most of the pics on here from my adult server. All this means is I will have to host them from the server that hosts this ite instead from now one. Oh and the pics on this site before today will not be accessable. It would take a long time to recode and upload all those pics in every post I made.

The New Family Guy is Still Fucking A Riot

I stumble on to the New episode of Family Guy set to air on Fox on May 1st. It was great. These two screen shots are clips from Mel Gibsons Passions of the Christ 2 staring Chris Tucker. A pardody of course Mels not that stupid…or is he? They have some 35 episodes coming so thats perfect.

The hole in the hand is a nice touch

Jesus “you know how to use this thing?”
Tucker “you know how to use this thing? (as he passes him a joint)”

What the Bleep Do We Know?!

What the Bleep Do We Know is a movie or Documentary staring Marlee Matlin the deaf actor from the movie Children of a Lesser God which also star a favorite actor of mine William Hurt (even if he was in the worst Star Wars film ever made) Ok now I’m side tracked. What the Bleep do we Know is a film about Quantum Theory. Wait! I didn’t mean to scary you off with the Q word. I combines science and spirituality to explain religion and all the BIG questions. There is a scene in the sub way that goes on to discrbie a sumit in D.C where 2000 budest preists meditated on lowering the crime in D.C. over a summer. This was done I think in 96′ when crime was at a high. It dropped 25%. The showed pictures of water taken with some sort of camera (I forget the name of it) blown up to show a molecular structure. It changed dramaticly when they showed two pictures one of normal water and one that was blessed by a preist. Interesting hmm. Considering that we are 80% water I think this taps into explaining prayer. Art Bell a radio show host on the abnormal. mostly UFO and strange shit did a simular study of sorts by asking his audeance to focus/ meditate on UFO sitings. Guess what in a day or two there was a number of reports world wide. That would exclude the listener from making the calls since he is only on the air in the USA. Anyway I can not explain the whole film since I didn’t take notes. I would hope that a local video store wouold have this title if not get netflixs.

Two Good Celebrity Blogs

The first one I found today was David Byrne . If I have to tell you he was the front man of the Talking Heads you might not be interested in him. I was suprised to find a great deal of photos in his journal (sorry he likes to call it a journal). He has a high quality Radio Station on the net also. Side note The band Talking Head was form (acording to my fuzzy memory) in art school when they had an asighnment that invoiled writing and performing songs for a class. I allways thought that was cool considering that the are kind of a art band anyhow. I used to love listening to them on the radio in the early 80’s.

Jeff Bridges was the second find. His is done in accually hand writing and doodles. I’ve seen this before and its allways hard to read (at least for me) The drawings make up for the hard to read handwriting. I know he is a photographer as well as a good actor. He has a book out with photos that he takes on the sets of his films. Hes a very good photographer in my opinion. I forget where I read that he has a photo book out, and of course I never bought it. I really should I love book of photos.

Maybe I Shouldn’t Laugh at This

Ok Now dressing your baby up as hitler is not cool. It’s about as cool as coming to a Holloween party dress as the KKK. (this happened at one of our big partys) I couldn’t help but laugh at the expression on this kids faces. I mean look at them eyes! I really hope this photo was done with photoshop

Chinese Democracy?

No not the 10 year awaited Guns n’ Roses album. No not the album title The Offspring wanted to release until Axel threatened a lawsuit. ( I still think that was funny of The Offspring to name their album after a hopeless never to be made GNR album) I have been saying for about 10 years to watch China. I mean they are the last major Communist country. I knew it was only a matter of time till the USA and the world lifted trade embargos. I read statistics on the Chinesse and USA military side by side. They are an equal match with the exception of infantry which China has us beat by a long shot. This blog has a good theory on how it might all play out its a good read. All I can say is Walmart start looking for another country to get you cheap labor from and soon.

Going to Watch House of D tonight

I saw David Duchovny on Inside the Actors studio the other week and he was talking about his new movie that he wrote and directed House Of D. Its got Erykah Badu in it mmm. Anyway I was waiting for it to hit the “fly over states” since it was just released in NY and LA only last Friday, when I saw it on IRC in screener quality. Thank god I love small movies since they come out on the internet quick and in great quality. Its very hard to see small films in STL. The life Aquatic came out on the internet a few days before the national release. I just didn’t have the speed to get it at the time, plus it was released around Xmas.

Out Here We Call Them Pirates

I just watched The Life Aquatic. God damn Why does no one like this movie?I damn near shit my self when I heard Seu Jorge doing acustic Ziggy Stardust. I heard the melody and thought shit thats David Bowie Then he starts singing in Portuguese. William Defoe is great as Klaus. I think Bill Murry is making a lot of films that are refecting his own life at this point in his life. Man in search of where his is and where he was and what the fuck happened in between. I did not expect to get choked up in the pirate scene. One disapointment Owen Wilson kept slipping in and out of his Kentucky accent

Its Alive! Its just as Slow as a Sloth

Wow I found out it has a 4 mb graphics card. Ouch no half life 2 hehe. 6 GB hard drive and a big 128 mb Ram stick. The 128 mb of RAM is sucked up to nothing in about 5 minutes of running windows XP. My pagefile is so high its like 89′ all over again. The memory is $75 for a 256 chip, That would give me 384 mb total. Then I need a ethernet/56k modem PCMCIA card for about $100. I almost have all my software installed. I’m telling you I spent 2 and a half hours installing Xp on that laptop. I’ll never bitch about the 45 minutes it takes on a modern machine again. Well I always bitch when I install Microsoft shit accually.

and for my Next Trick

Ok I was installing Photoshop on my girlfriends laptop when I found out it wouldn’t install on windows 98′. I gave up and didn’t think much about it. Then today it dawned on me that if I install windows XP on it then Photoshop will install. Now it is an old laptop retails for like $140 on ebay. Here are the specs

Dell Inspiron 7500
Model No-PPI
Pentium II 400 MHz
Ports
• Printer Port
• Serial Port
• Monitor Port
• Docking Station Port
• Mouse or Keyboard Port
• 2 PCMCIA Slots - missing one cover
• 1 USB Port
• Infrared
• Video Out Port
So we are missing an Ethernet port (for high speed internet connection) and it has a slow dial up modem. The amount of memory might be a problem too I can’t remember what it had in it. I hope at least 128 mb .256 mb would be nice.

With all my software install I could then be able to travel away from my workstation and desktop computer to do daily work. The new PSP has a 300 mhz cpu. That’s really close to this machine so we shall see. I’m charging the batteries up now so I’ll post back when I get it working.

Weekly Stats

I was just thinking that I didn’t have many sales at the begining of the month. This means I would have no rebills early in the month and would have to make sales in the begining of a month to have rebills in the begining of the month for next month. Confused? you won’t be after this episode of….Soap. No really. Rebills (members on their second month of membership) make up about 30% of my total income. This week my rebills were less than 10% (since I didn’t have many sales in the begining of last month) come this time next month I could potentially make an extra $50. heres this weeks stats

not much but its allways increasing. Not to mention thats thats one week and 14 hours of work.

Cool Flickr Pic

This guy did a pic on Flickr where he took a google map image of his neigborhood and put captions with desrciptions of his childhood on it when you hover the mouse pointer over it. I’m guessing this is something that Flickr lets you do when you post a pic. I would like to do this with all of my appartments. You can see this guys childhood on a google map Here.

I think I am going to do something similar. I am going to need broadband and a screen capture program. It takes such a long time to get the satelite photos from google map I can’t seem to think of an easier way to get the image from the webpage except a screen capture. I want one of a high view and one close view of each of the places I lived. This might be neat. I will end up with about a dozen or so from the time I grew up to the time I lived in shit ass places to Key West right up to now.
