I got an account back in Febuary of last year. I stopped using it when I read news of yahoo buying them. I figured they would make it a pay service. Plus i figured all the homegrow developer shit would die.(which might have) I have to check on the wordpress plugins that deal with Flickr. Might be some cool ones. I’m am planing on buy a camera as soon as I can afford one. I dropped my last one. (first camera I’ve ever dropped just for the record) Its a pain in the ass borrowing one. Heres Mine right Here. They are in the run to take on blogger by Google. I presonaly like Wordpress. This Free hosted version is lacking a lot. If you host your own blog you have the option of customizing the whole blog. This one doesn’t allow plugins or modifying the theme much. Its hosted free that is a plus! I know installing my Wordpress script for this blog made for lots of reading and learning. There is a trade off for sure. This one again is free. Sign up try it out. Make sure you like the title of your blog you only get to have one per email address when you sign up. It does have a nice refferal tab under manage in the admin. Thats nice because you can monitor hows sending traffic to you blog. Get one today at Wordpress.com

I also see a flaw that I guess will play out much like cable TV did in the early 80’s. The availability of DSL and other high speed access becomes my concern. Its in most areas, as a matter of fact if you live in a major city chance are you have high speed Internet. Internet TV is my only focus. I want it! I’ve tried to emulate it with IRC and bit torrent. This could get lengthy with my rambling on and on about the prospect of Internet TV. I will save you the misery. I want what I want, when I want it. Tivo doesn’t cut it for me.
I did a searh on the Cambodian town where I do my monthly visa run to Poilpet, Cambodia. The Thai town of Sa kaew was a refuge camp for Cambodias in the late 90’s. Heres what a Human Rights report has to say about it.
“On August 1, 6,000 to 7,000 other refugees streamed across the border to the Thai province of Sa Kaew, amid heavy rocket and mortar fire near the town of Poipet. They were joined by over 350 FUNCINPEC soldiers, whom Thai authorities subsequently disarmed. The majority of the refugees returned to Cambodia, about half doing so immediately after the fighting subsided and the other half on August 5, after receiving assurances from Cambodian officials that they would be safe and being provided with food supplies from the Thai government and voluntary agencies. However, at least 410 chose to remain behind, including family members of FUNCINPEC troops and officials, many of whom had fled to the Poipet area from other parts of Cambodia”

Its now a town where Thais can cross into Cambodia and gamble in the Cambodian casinos. The casinos have Thai investors on some level. They are some of the lowest class casinos I’ve ever seen. Then again I’ve never seen those low class dinners in Las Vegas with the slot machines either.
