They were cool in 1982

Well the more I fly the more i think about breaking down and getting an mp3 player. Things that keep crossing my mind why I ponder the thought of buy one are :

1)You need 40GB or more right? Well yeah if i want something that does video yes (60 to 80 GB preferred)

2)Could you get by with 1 to 4 GB and a Flash device instead of a hard drive model? (yeah if it was $150 or under)

3)When would I use it besides flying? Never since I find it ultra dangerous to ride my bike when using headphones. If there was mass transit (worth a damn) in STL I might have another use for one

Bottom line I only used Walkmans in the eighties when I rode the bus to school or in class. I used to break a pair of headphones so I had one ear piece running up my sleeve and into my hand which I’d cup to my ear. This is well before the ear bud invention (which will kill you hearing and is why kids today settle for low quality 128 bitrate itunes songs). I don’t jog or run. ( hehe I almost blew tea out my nose thinking of that) I uesed to use them when I sunbathed (man that sounds gay)

Well unless I find myself working as a mail man or study in a library I think I’ll pass till the bigger (widescreen 5 inch at least) video ipod comes out.
