New Apple ipod Shuffle

So I was at Walmart getting my eye examine. Yeah Yeah I know what the fuck am I doing in a walmart after blasting them many times before. They scheduled me in thats way.  I was pissed at my other eye doctor anyways. Ok so I headed to electronics and asked the guy to unlock me a shuffle. I said “I need a shuffle”. He said “Shovels are in garden” I gave him an evil 3 or 4 second stare then replied “I said shuffle, I’m not that retarded” He proceeded to give me the sales pitch on the video ipod and then some cheap piece of shit MP3 player. I told him ” I don’t care what your title is, but right now your on register. You want to ring my shit up”
I had to have something to listen to on the plane. Two problems out of the box. One I had it filled before I reached the E’s. I was just picking some stuff from my music collection, not adding all my shit. Two I can only fit about 130 songs on it instead of 250. The reason is that most of my music is higher fidelity than the 128 bitrate standard of most shit today that you buy at the itunes store. So I had to spend the extra time converting them all down to 128. Mind you on ear buds its not that relevant, but still. I mean I’m no audiophile. I have no 10,000 stereo or even a $1000 on for that matter. I’m just a little picky when it comes to regression. Especially when its progressing in one direction and regressing in another. This is digital shit man. I would expect lower quality from a mix tape not a digital MP3 player. I’ll be doing another thing I said I’d never do. Wear ear buds. They are so bad for your ears. Sound like shit compared to a full headphone also.

I think I told u not to buy that shit. And everyone knows Apple buds suck. Fitted ear buds are fine tho..They dont have to be cranked up to drown out outside noise.

Well I don’t listen to you when your giving purchasing advise anyways. I’m a speaker muff guy. The ear buds were just free and I’m not dropping $100 on speaker muffs. I said I bought the shuffle for the plane. I have no use for portable audio devices really.

ugh. Let me explain more why I bought the shuffle. I had about 6 people weigh in on my shuffle purchase.

One: I was going to get a mobiBLU 1GB cube instead, but its about $20 more.

Two: AGAIN I don’t need a portable audio device beyond traveling. I really don’t even need it for that since I tend to sleep most of the time on a plane.

Three: My complaint about the hassle of navigating from artist to artist or album to album is misleading. I forgot the whole concept of the “Shuffle” After posting about it I remembered its made for randomly picking songs from ONE playlist. Also having the feature to autofill from your music collection. Depending on how organized you have the meta data on your songs.

Four: The ear bud issue. Yes they suck. They hurt your ears from the fit and from the audio killing your ear drum. Considering I had to degrade the fidelity (quality of audio) its makes no sense to buy better responding headphones. I wouldn’t hear any difference unless I had the high fidelity versions of my songs on the player.

I’m guessing if I had the time to make my own MP3 player from scratch everyone would have said dude you should have just bought a shuffle.
