Kurty just left for STL. We leave in a few days. We have one last shoot Sat. Then its all me in panic mode preparing to leave. I tend to get a little on edge a few days before traveling. I think its because I don’t smoke pot daily anymore. If I was stoned before during and after I think I’d be ok. Either way Its not all I’m making it out to be. I just hate the wait. I really can’t wait to get back to my 6 mbit DSL line and my cycle. I got fat here in Brasil.

I had to have my flight to St Louis moved up to the 2nd of May. I had my 250 GB external hard drive crash on me a few days ago. After getting it recovered with software (took 6 hours) Andrews external drive crashed on him. All 800 Gb of his 1 TB drive. He ran the software I used and it said it would take 700 hours. This was his work drive so He had to push the date of our flight up so he could get it repaired in St Louis and get back to Bangkok to shoot more content since he has none at the moment.

So I’ll be home a week early. Better one week than say a month. If this happened a month ago it would be a huge problem. Oh and we never made it to Rio. One reason is there wasn’t any good (safe) hotels left for us. Second the hard drive issue. We now have to cramp a lot of work in this next week.

He got here this morning. Hes washing off the 3 days in an airport stink right now.

Kurt is not arriving today at 8am. He will land now at 9pm tonight.

So I was explaining that he changed his flight to land at 6am instead of 9am on Sat. This was because his first flight had a 10 hour layover in Houston. Well 6am this morning we got to the airport to find out that his flight was canceled. He is now scheduled to land in Sao Paulo on Sun at 8am. Its a good thing Allen hooked us up with a taxi driver that gave us a good rate. Only charged us $50 to go there (round trip) instead of the normal rate of $90. Although since we have to go twice now to pick him up it is still costing $100 to get him. Hmm. I’m guessing ATL airport has no wifi for internet, because we go no notice of the canceled flight. Still not as bad as sitting on a plane on the runway for 12 hours before spending the next 8 hours finding out whats going on only to hear that all flights in Tokyo are canceled and I was stuck for 3 days.

I would suggest beer, masturbation, and sleep and plenty of it and in that order to cope with getting stranded in an airport.

Kurt Lands Saturday morning. At like 6am. That will be early for us. finding a taxi in our neighborhood at that hour might be hard. We might have to walk a while to find one. Either way traffic should be a little better getting there. Coming home will be another issue.

We are going to be going to Rio sometime in the beginning of next week. I’m not sure if we will have internet, but we will have beer. Kurt is bringing Andrew a point and shoot camera since electronics cost a fortune here. So we will have a camera to use while in Rio. I will get some pictures.

No no no Im not talking about posting drunk off your ass. This PSA ad campaign is aimed at school kids dealing with the ever threatening internet. Wasn’t it porn and chat rooms that threatened kids a few years ago? Now its themselves. Finally laying blame a little closer to home. These two ads explain how if you post a picture or writing to the internet EVERONE can read it. This is so true. The problem is if its a picture of yourself in your underwear you have serious “look at me issues” If its a great article on an important subject or a picture of some important event then you WANT more people to see it. Shouldn’t this PSA be saying “Hey kids post more intelligent things” Instead of “Your now know as an internet slut.” Maybe I’m forgetting most people as not that bright.

We just couldn’t stop. We were meeting with some people a Filipino Tranny and her Boyfriend From LA that were in town to do some shoots for a few months. They wanted to go out to the clubs and of course we did go out again after just recovering from Thursday night. Hopefully I will be getting some pictures of that night soon. I’m curious to see jsut how fucked up I looked. This time we were not sober at all.

We started at this one club that turned out to be a not so right for our friends. I spoke my first sentence in Portuguese “linguica feista aqui” meaning “Its a sausage party in here” So we moved on to anther club called BuBU. The drugs kicked in at the wrong time. In the taxi. Still was ok we got there fairly fast. This place was less of a sausage party. Andrew and me had fun, but I don’t know about our other friends. The had this idea that they could pick up trannys in the bars and take them home (for free) and shoot them along with getting them to sigh release forms. We warned him that that was not going to happen. He still was a bit hard headed about it and learned by the hard way by the end of the night. We told him that anyone in a club was there to have a good time and not for work. I have no idea what its its like in LA, but Sao Paulo doesn’t work like that. you schedule the models and PAY them here.

So late Thur we get a message from a business friend here in Sao Paulo. he wants us to go out to a club. he was picking us up at 3am. yeah kind of late/early huh? So we got there and waited in line for abut 45 minute and spent a few hours there before going to another club that opens at 6am. It was more of a rave than a club. Mind you we were not on Ecstasy so it was only sort of fun. Thump thump thump, siren then repeat. Actually there was not siren or whistle noises coming form the DJ’s. We did get a “We don’t need no education” Thump thump break “we don’t need no thought control” which was interesting since thats a rather hoosier/stoner song for a club. Oh an Glen if your reading this Henrique the guy that took us out was the Brazilian YOU, looks and mannerisms wise that is.

Forgot to mention when we got picked we were meeting Henrique at the corner since he was a little lost. We got to the corner and we heard honking from a car up the hill on a one way street. It was some angry drive honking at him because he was in reverse going down hill on a one way to get to our corner. Crazy.

got home at about 11am a little too sober for my tastes but it was still fun.

I was scanning the cable we just got last week in the apartment and ESPN was playing the Cardinal home opener. Not that I can sit and watch a whole game, but it was fun for a few innings.
