I have been using Thunderbird as my email client. I was having no problems using it on my yahoo account with IMAP. Then it jsut stopped working. I had to use pop and have had nothing but trouble ever since.

My mail is being downloaded to my computer over and over. Its on its the 4th time now. big pain in the ass when you have 500o some odd email now totaling over 20,000.

After googling a long time I ended up hacking an outdated non compatible extension to clean out duplicate emails. At least something worked.

Its a semi common problem. You’d think Thunderbird would have some option built in to handle duplicates
