I never gave Adobe Illustrator a chance till I saw this tutorial by Burt Monroy. Photoshop seemed to work good enough. Burt Monroy uses Illustrator for a lot of his work. You can see his amazing work here. You can see just how detailed the work is by the zoomed in cropped pictures of the digital painting.

Anyways After watching his last tutorial over at revison3 I decided to install Illustrator and see if I could use it. This is the tutorial from PixelPerfect that I used.

I was very happy how it turned out on my first try. It is a little thin at the top of the stem part, but oh well. I will have to play with Illustrator some more in my free time.

Its not real easy to track who uses your flickr pictures. I’m not real worried about it. I’m about sick of people worried that someone will copy right infringe their “work”. Get over yourself if your worried about that. I personally hope someone with deep pockets uses my photos without contacting , crediting or compensating me. I also don’t mind if someone uses my photos as long as they are not used for profit. I think it was Forbes magazine that used a few pics from some site like flickr without contacting the photographer and he got a big apology letter and a free subscription.

Anyways my point is with a little creative google searching you can locate some of them. Most of these results depend on the fact that I am credited for them and using my username in the search string. It would be wonderful if flickr implemented some way of tracking the static links of the photos in my flickrstream.

I started getting sick around Saturday or Sunday I forget which. I had a runny nose. Then come Monday night I woke up choking on fluid in my lung. I knew what it was since I had it in Bangkok real bad. I’ve been coughing and coughing but nothing comes up. it gurgled in my chest and made me wheeze bad. So I’ve been sleeping sitting up all week. Today I only feel it a little bit in my chest and my head feels clear.

I did manage to ride about a mile today to get some groceries. I was glad it didn’t kill me. I’ve been wanting to ride as much as I can for a few reasons. I want to get in shape before I leave for Bangkok and work some of them rice and beans off from Brazil. I also want to get used to the heat as much as I can before walking into a wave of 90 plus heat and 80 plus humidity 24/7. I’ve been avoiding AC as much as I can. I would also like to enjoy riding while I can since it would be a bad idea in Bangkok to ride a bike.

I will now be leaving on July 22nd and returning on January 23rd. Instead of July 9th to December 3rd.

Short story. A guy I know was buying my ticket with frequent flyer miles from delta. he was using the miles he accumulated to get my ticket and pocketing the cash. I see nothing wrong with that really. Delta did.Must have been in some fine print. He’s done it a few times so I wonder why they bothered to stop him now. Any ways he told me they canceled his delta account and canceled any flights he had booked.

So I’ll be in bangkok an extra month. I also get to spend the coolest month in Bangkok. The temperatures are nice in December.

I messed around with it in 06 right before I left Bangkok then just abandoned it. Manily because I got over being ill ( extreme sinus infection that almost killed me)and forgot about it. Anyways I was reading that CBS bought them and check into a wordpress plugin for it. If your not familiar with Last.fm check it out on wiki

just remembered another reason I lost interest. When you click on the currently played song from my playlist it only sometimes allows you to listen to the song at Last.FM. So kind of not so cool. Also I’m sure they generate revenue from people that buy the album or song from the links on the preview/sample pages, but then who isn’t wanting to sell you something right? Well at lest this site isn’t selling you anything.

Just noticed the Police are playing in St Louis before I leave. I also noticed that tickets are $90 to $200. What happened. I mean Seriously. Does that include dope? Its not just The Police its a lot of concerts in the same Arena are the same price. last Arena show I saw was Kiss in 96′ and it was $50 and that was considered high. I’m pretty sure that was a flat rate as well.

So I jsut downloaded the Entire Police discography So take that you tantric fuck. I’m not lashing out to Andy or Stewart. They are innocent and just hungry.
