Fuzzy Passport

passport

I just found out my passport went thru the wash and dryer. It was in my pants pocket. The visa stamps are mostly blurry. Some are stuck on the other page. I’ll find out what I need to do Mon. I just went to the Thai immigration office to get my 30 day extension Fri. That information is rather fucked up. I never read the papers they gave me that day and they are shredded. I might even have to go and get a new copy of that as well. I just don’ know yet. ARGH!

The Table, The Keyboard, and One Hot Macbook Pro

Heres pics of the table Andrew bought at the weekend market for his balcony. The umbrella is the best part. The rest reminds me of Ozark craft art. Guy with chainsaw makes table and then sells it on the side of the road. Same here. Driving out of Bangkok they have lots these shops that sell these shines that you display out front of a building. They look like a shop on the side of the highway in MO selling concert stuff and windmills. Nice table, but have not used it yet.

I was staring at Andrews new apple keyboard and had to go get one for myself. He swears I’ll hate it. I find that I’m now typing as fast as I did before using the low profile Kensington one I had got for my mac. When I switched to mac I noticed a big drop in my typing speed. Also I made more mistakes. I used to like to use real click clack types like you would have used in the late eighties. Gave me the ability to just slap my fingers at plastic squares like a monster. Now I have to finesse it a bit more. I’m surprised I am typing so good on it. It is way less of a tactile feel typing. Somehow it doesn’t bother me. Like having faith that I am actually hitting a key without feeling it “click”. At some point I might be able to not look at the keyboard when I type. I would be rather fast then. I like it because its low to the surface its on. Less hurt on the wrist. After 4 years of typing daily I’ve got pains in my elbow, fingers on both hands, and left wrist from time to time not constant.

I also have been pulling my hair out over using aperture on my mackbook pro. Its a first gen version. They just run hot. I think they changed motherboards on the gen 2 and solved the problem. I have it hacked to run the internal fans at max speed when it gets hot. That still doesn’t help/. Aperture is the only program I use that gets it running sluggish due to heat. So I bought a laptop cooler. So lame and one of those 3rd party addons thats pure money driven and bearly does what its supposed to for the hassle of using it. So far its cooled it by maybe 5 degrees celsius. not enough to stop the sluggish behavior.

Buying Drugs is Same Same

I got hooked up with a guy that could sell me some weed. I was having a drink or two of whiskey or .5 mg tto .25 mg of Xanax before shoots to just relax. Not that I’m nervous anymore, but I know I’ll mess something up about the photos. Right now there is jsut so much I could be focusing on during the shoot. More than I can pay attention too at one time that is. So there is bound to be something wrong with the shoot in the end. So to no dwell on that before hand I want to relax. There is also a bunch of social skills I need to improve or learn altogether new. I’ve always been shy and socially retarded to a degree. So That was a shock when I realized that I would have more than just technical shit to worry about.

Anyways. I tried some weed a week or so ago and it was mild enough to work well. So as not to bother this other white guy in Bangkok too often for weed I decided to buy a large amount. Well not that big, but an ounce. Which should last one month give or take. I had to drive a good distance to an area that I’ve only been to by car taxi and from the other side of central Bangkok. Igot a little lost to passing up side streets. I could get there again no problem, but in heavy traffic, driving on the other side of the road, and on a small scooter it was hectic. Not to mention its fucking Bangkok driving! took abut 4 phone calls and some dark back alley driving.

I didn’t bother looking at the sack before I left. When I got home it was in a 420 shopping bag and a huge bag of weed. The pictures don’t do it justice. Its compressed and over 2 inches thick and almost filled to the max.I don’t know the size of the zip lock bag but its like a large sandwich size.If I had to guess it would be close to 3 ounces. funny thing is he told me it was close to 1 1/2 ounces. As to say its heavy as a nice gesture. I only paid about $100 for it also. Should last me a few months.

On a side note the weed here is indica not that stativa we are used to in STL. Same as in FL. Mike if your reading you should remember that chocolate shit in the Keys. Its about the same. More of a body buzz VS a head buzz. The big difference is its major creeper. Hits you about 5 to 10 minutes later. Best part is not one seed in the whole bag.
