The Table, The Keyboard, and One Hot Macbook Pro
Heres pics of the table Andrew bought at the weekend market for his balcony. The umbrella is the best part. The rest reminds me of Ozark craft art. Guy with chainsaw makes table and then sells it on the side of the road. Same here. Driving out of Bangkok they have lots these shops that sell these shines that you display out front of a building. They look like a shop on the side of the highway in MO selling concert stuff and windmills. Nice table, but have not used it yet.
I was staring at Andrews new apple keyboard and had to go get one for myself. He swears I’ll hate it. I find that I’m now typing as fast as I did before using the low profile Kensington one I had got for my mac. When I switched to mac I noticed a big drop in my typing speed. Also I made more mistakes. I used to like to use real click clack types like you would have used in the late eighties. Gave me the ability to just slap my fingers at plastic squares like a monster. Now I have to finesse it a bit more. I’m surprised I am typing so good on it. It is way less of a tactile feel typing. Somehow it doesn’t bother me. Like having faith that I am actually hitting a key without feeling it “click”. At some point I might be able to not look at the keyboard when I type. I would be rather fast then. I like it because its low to the surface its on. Less hurt on the wrist. After 4 years of typing daily I’ve got pains in my elbow, fingers on both hands, and left wrist from time to time not constant.
I also have been pulling my hair out over using aperture on my mackbook pro. Its a first gen version. They just run hot. I think they changed motherboards on the gen 2 and solved the problem. I have it hacked to run the internal fans at max speed when it gets hot. That still doesn’t help/. Aperture is the only program I use that gets it running sluggish due to heat. So I bought a laptop cooler. So lame and one of those 3rd party addons thats pure money driven and bearly does what its supposed to for the hassle of using it. So far its cooled it by maybe 5 degrees celsius. not enough to stop the sluggish behavior.

Wow. The table and chairs are beautiful! I would love to have something like that. My damn dogs would probably chew on it though. I hate dogs.
Nice furniture! That keyboard would take some getting used to, but so did a laptop, right? Looks sleek. I like.
Hey, I know your birthday is coming up, and I can never remember the date, so Happy Early Birthday.
I’m lucky if I remember my own children’s birthdays.
